A Jesus Revolution!
Acts 17:6 |
"These who have turned the world upside down have come here too."
Millennials (Those who are born between 1980 and 2000) are often called "Nones". Fed up with conventional church, political Christianity that seems to be mad at everyone, and today's so-called prosperity gospel; many of these young adults say their religion is "nothing in particular".
There is also a lot of Christians, young and old, who call themselves "Dones", as they are done with church, even though they still like Jesus. Seventy-five percent of young people who grew up in Christian homes and churches are now abandoning their faith as young adults. They claim to be "spiritual" but not "religious".
Revolution means a sudden, radical, complete change to old systems. In a personal sense revolution means that Jesus touches our lives and radically transforms them from the inside out. The presence of His Spirit leads us in new paths of obedience.
There is so much stress and disapproval in our world today on many levels -- politics, covid19, the economy, and even church. Have we lost our first love of Christ and drifted away?
Oh, that it could be said of our world, "These who have turned the world upside down have come here too."
