God Has Spoken! I will REJOICE!
Psalm 108 |
As King of David is praying for victory over his enemies. "Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered." Suddenly, as he prayed, David realized that God had already spoken. God had answered David's prayer before David worded his prayer.
God's Word is the Foundation of Faith
God has spoken and that is as good as if He has already performed what He has promised to do. God has spoken and what He has promised cannot be reversed. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but not one "jot or tittle" of His word shall ever fail.
The Joy of Faith
Rejoice that "God has spoken in His holiness." Be glad that God has spoken to you. Joy comes to the believer even before the promise is literally fulfilled. It is the joy of faith. Praise the Lord for all the good things He has laid up in store for you.
The Activity of Faith
"In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth." That is, David says "As God has given me these places to be parts of my kingdom, I will go, and take possession of them."
