New Beginnings
Psalm 8 |
OUR GOD IS THE GOD OF BEGINNINGS.
"When I consider our heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon, and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?" (vv. 3,4)
OUR GOD IS THE GOD OF ENDINGS.
"What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts n one can open. I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut." (Revelation 3:7,8)
As First Mabelvale congratulates Alexis, Nathan, and Sydney for their success, we know that they are going to face challenges. This is a milestone in life, a new beginning. There will be many new beginnings to come, as God opens and closes doors throughout their lives.
OUR GOD IS THE GOD OF GOOD BEGINNINGS.
We know that this is true because of our experience in salvation. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" (2 Corinthians 5:17)
I pray that each of our gradates will experience the "full joy: of the "abundant life" that Christ has promised. May Christ "dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power... to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all fullness of God." (Eph. 3:17-19)
