The Tenderness of God’s Comfort
Isaiah 66:13 |
"As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem."
Who comforts?
"Fear you not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed for I am your God." (Isaiah 41:10)
How does God comfort?
"As one whom his mother comforts."
"But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell off his neck and kissed him." (Luke 15:20)
Where does God comfort his people?
"In Jerusalem."
"And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:24,25)
